Accountant - iGaming Industry
Location: Sliema
Job Description:
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accountant to join their vibrant iGaming company, based in their Sliema office. This role is critical in maintaining their financial health and requires a deep understanding of both general accounting practices and specific iGaming industry knowledge.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing day-to-day accounting operations, including the general ledger, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, inter-company reconciliations of the company
- Coordinate internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
- Oversee financial operations using Xero accounting software.
- Posting supplier invoices and reconciling statements and issuing payment.
- Manage banking relationships and transactions.
- Liaise with third-party accountancy firms for specialized accounting and advisory services.
- Conduct white label conciliation, affiliate discrepancy checks, and manage affiliate invoices.
- Oversee payroll processes
- Preparing VAT Returns.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, ACCA, ACA or a similar qualification.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel and other financial software applications.
- Organised and detail-oriented person happy to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Qualified accountant with experience in firms like Deloitte, KPMG, PWC, or similar.
- Public Notary certificate.
- Prior experience as an accountant in the iGaming industry is crucial.
- A balance of strong accounting skills and industry-specific knowledge.
