Job description

Our client is seeking a Danish-speaking Dispute & Financial Crime Officer to join their Credit Risk and Analytics department in Oslo, Norway.

The role focuses on preventing financial crime and supporting customers in challenging situations. This position offers an opportunity to work in a diverse team environment with colleagues from various professional backgrounds and nationalities.

The successful candidate will be responsible for fraud prevention measures, managing disputes in accordance with VISA regulations, assessing contested loans, and handling cases involving financial crime. The role involves collaboration with external authorities, responding to customer inquiries, and balancing routine tasks with more complex challenges in a fast-paced setting.

 

Key Responsibilities

The primary tasks and responsibilities include:

  • Managing claims in compliance with VISA rules and national legislation (consumer rights)
  • Processing and evaluating cases of identity theft and invalid agreements made under duress
  • Handling customer communications, including inquiries from lawyers, police, and external partners
  • Conducting fraud checks on applications
  • Developing and updating internal procedures
  • Improving tools and processes to combat fraud
  • Monitoring transactions to detect financial crime
  • Building and maintaining a network of internal and external contacts

 

Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will meet the following criteria:

  • 1-3 years of experience in banking or financial services, or a relevant higher education background
  • Strong communication skills in Danish, both written and spoken
  • Ability to contribute to a professional and collaborative work environment

  • Employment Type: Full-time
  • Working Hours: Core hours from 09:00 to 15:00
